Aspetti demografici della Bologna medievale. Riflessioni metodologiche e prospettive di ricerca

Abstract

This contribution focuses on the Bologna's demographic studies in the Middle Ages (13th-14th centuries), their utility on the population settlements's valuation in the country and the demographic political's efects from the urban centre to the surrounding area. The analysis of the population of the villages and the districts's inhabitants help us to understand social habits and households with particular attention of middle-low social class. The family composition, the marriage's age, the mortality are some aspects to value economic and political implications on the population's evolution.
