Il mondo dei marginalia nella serie dei Corali tardo duecenteschi di San Domenico a Genova

Abstract

Questo contributo intende presentare una prima analisi dei marginalia presenti nella serie di Corali realizzati per il convento di San Domenico a Genova nell’ultimo quarto del Duecento e ricondotti al così detto Maestro del ms. Lat. 42 e ai suoi collaboratori, tra i quali spicca per la singolarità del suo linguaggio il così detto Maestro dei Graduali di Santa Maria di Castello. Dopo una prima parte dedicata a fornire alcune riflessioni sul ruolo e sul valore dei marginalia all’interno della pagina miniata si proporrà una puntuale descrizione dei disegni presenti nei codici genovesi, in particolare nel Graduale A: i soggetti verranno quindi interpretati come elementi di un complesso sistema semantico composto da segni letterari e figurati in continuo dialogo tra loro.
